Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture, Violet Braided, CTX Needle, Size 1, is a synthetic absorbable suture designed for reliable soft tissue approximation and ligation. Constructed from polyglactin 910, this suture delivers excellent tensile strength during the early critical wound healing period. 

The antibacterial component of the suture is triclosan, which is embedded in the coating to create an effective zone of inhibition against a range of clinically significant pathogens. This includes common organisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, and resistant strains like MRSA and MRSE. This antibacterial activity supports reduced risk of surgical site infections in high-risk or contaminated wounds.

The CTX needle is a curved, taper point needle with a 1/2 circle configuration, designed for precision and minimal tissue trauma. The suture’s violet color provides enhanced visibility during surgery, facilitating accurate placement and retrieval. The braided construction improves flexibility and resistance to fraying during use.
