Description

Stratafix Suture, PDS Plus, Size 1, Violet, 45 cm (18 inches) is a synthetic absorbable monofilament designed for reliable soft tissue approximation and wound closure. Manufactured from polydioxanone (PDS), this suture provides extended tensile strength and controlled absorption through hydrolysis, supporting tissue healing over an extended period. 

The suture incorporates barbs along its length, allowing for knotless closure and uniform distribution of tension across the wound. This design enhances wound security and reduces operative time by eliminating knot tying. The barbed configuration also minimizes tissue trauma by preventing suture slippage and reducing localized pressure on wound edges.

Equipped with precision-engineered needles, the suture facilitates smooth passage through soft tissue with minimal trauma. The needle design supports accurate and controlled needle placement, optimizing wound apposition and promoting efficient healing.
