Description

Stratafix Spiral PGA-PCL Knotless Suture, Double Armed, 30 mm x 30 mm is a sterile, synthetic, absorbable suture engineered for secure wound closure without the need for traditional knots. It incorporates a unique spiral barbed design that uniformly distributes tension along the suture line, ensuring consistent tissue approximation while reducing the risk of slippage. 

Manufactured from a copolymer of polyglycolic acid (PGA) and polycaprolactone (PCL), this suture provides high initial tensile strength and predictable absorption. It retains approximately 50% of its strength at 21 days and is fully absorbed between 90 to 120 days through hydrolytic degradation. 

The barbed architecture of Stratafix eliminates the need for tying knots, significantly reducing operative time and enhancing procedural efficiency. Its bidirectional barbs anchor securely in tissue, resisting pullback and maintaining closure integrity even under tension. Each needle, measuring 30 mm in length, ensures smooth and controlled passage through tissue with minimal trauma.

With significantly more points of fixation than traditional sutures, STRATAFIX Knotless Tissue Control Devices give surgeons more consistent tension control over every pass, and combine the strength and security of interrupted closure with more efficiency than continuous closure. Bidirectional devices appropriate for several closure techniques. The unique anchor designs provide multiple points of fixation along the suture, allowing tension on the suture to be maintained during closure. There is no need for an assistant to follow the suture so closure is more efficient than continuous suturing with traditional sutures.
