Precision Point Perma-Hand Surgical Suture 0, 30", PSL Needle is a nonabsorbable suture composed of an organic protein, specifically silk. The suture is sterilized and designed for use in general soft tissue approximation and ligation, excluding cardiovascular and neurological procedures.

The silk fibers undergo extensive processing to remove natural waxes and gums. This purification enhances biocompatibility and minimizes the potential for adverse tissue reactions. The organic material retains flexibility while improving its interaction with surrounding tissues during suturing.

A special wax coating is applied to the braided silk strands. This coating improves suture handling, reduces tissue drag, and enables smooth passage through tissues.
