Description

Undyed Ethicon Coated Vicryl Braided Absorbable Suture, 4-0, PS-1 needle, 18", is a synthetic, absorbable surgical suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The suture is coated to improve handling, minimize tissue drag, and enhance knot security. 

This suture is supplied with a PS-1 Prime Reverse Cutting needle, 3/8 circle, which is designed for use in delicate soft tissues, particularly skin closure. The needle features a sharp cutting edge that ensures precise penetration with minimal trauma. The reverse cutting design provides strength and durability, especially in tougher tissues. 

Undyed Vicryl is preferred in cases where suture visibility is not required, reducing the potential for visible suture marks post-operatively. The 18-inch length is appropriate for superficial and subcuticular closures. The 4-0 size is suitable for medium to fine tissue repair, balancing strength and minimal tissue reaction.
