Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture, Violet Braided, SH Needle, Size 3-0, 8 X 18" is a synthetic absorbable suture made from Polyglactin 910 and coated with an antibacterial agent, Triclosan. The violet coloration improves visibility during surgical procedures, while the braided design enhances knot security and handling characteristics. 

The suture incorporates a Taper Point SH needle, which is 1/2 circle in shape and suitable for delicate tissue penetration with minimal trauma. The needle allows smooth passage through soft tissues, making it ideal for internal soft tissue approximation, especially where precision and minimal tissue disruption are required.

Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Sutures provide an added layer of infection control. The in vitro zone of inhibition targets key pathogens frequently associated with surgical site infections, including Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, MRSA, and MRSE. This property supports wound healing and reduces the risk of postoperative infections in high-risk environments.
