Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture, Undyed Braided, Size 3-0, 27" with CT-2 needle, is an advanced absorbable surgical suture designed to provide secure wound closure with enhanced infection control. The suture is made from polyglactin 910, a synthetic copolymer known for predictable absorption and tensile strength. Its braided structure improves handling characteristics and knot security, facilitating efficient tissue approximation.

The antibacterial coating on this suture actively inhibits bacterial growth on the suture surface. Laboratory studies have demonstrated the suture’s ability to create a zone of inhibition against major surgical site pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE). 

Equipped with a CT-2 taper point needle, the suture ensures atraumatic penetration and precise control in soft tissue procedures.
