Description

The Undyed Coated Vicryl 1 CTX 36" Suture is a synthetic absorbable suture made from Polyglactin 910, designed for internal soft tissue approximation and ligation. Its composition ensures compatibility with various tissue types and procedures. It is particularly suited for ophthalmic applications and general surgical use but is not intended for cardiovascular or neurological tissue.

This suture provides dependable handling characteristics, including excellent pliability, ease of knot tying, and secure knot holding strength. Its braided structure enhances flexibility and control during suturing, facilitating efficient placement and consistent performance under surgical conditions.

The suture maintains approximately 50% of its original tensile strength three weeks post-implantation, contributing to wound support during critical early stages of healing. Following this period, it undergoes hydrolytic degradation, gradually reducing its tensile strength as tissue healing progresses.
