Description

Violet Coated Vicryl 0 MO-4 8-18" Suture is a sterile, synthetic absorbable suture composed of Polyglactin 910, a copolymer derived from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. The suture is coated with a polyglactin-based compound to enhance handling, reduce tissue drag, and improve knot tying performance. 

The suture is equipped with MO-4 needles, typically featuring a taper point design that allows smooth penetration of soft tissues with minimal trauma. The double-armed configuration, with two needles attached to each end of the suture, is suitable for circular or purse-string closures, anastomosis, and precise tissue approximation. 

Indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, this suture is not intended for use in cardiovascular or neurological tissues. It is commonly employed in gastrointestinal, urologic, gynecologic, and general surgical procedures. The violet color enhances visibility during placement, aiding precision in low-light or deep operative fields.
