Coated Vicryl Plus Antibacterial Suture, undyed braided, with Ct-2 needle, size 0, 27 inches, is designed for reliable soft tissue approximation and ligation. The suture is composed of polyglactin 910, a synthetic absorbable material that provides predictable absorption and consistent handling characteristics. Its braided structure ensures excellent knot security and ease of use during surgical procedures.

The taper point Ct-2 needle enhances tissue penetration with minimal trauma, promoting precise suture placement in delicate or dense tissues. The needle’s curvature and sharp tip enable smooth passage through soft tissue, reducing operative time and improving surgical outcomes. 

The antibacterial coating on the Vicryl Plus suture inhibits the growth of common surgical site pathogens. In vitro studies have demonstrated a zone of inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus epidermidis (MRSE).
