Sensorcaine-MPF (bupivacaine hydrochloride) 0.25% with epinephrine 1:200,000 is a sterile, injectable local anesthetic used for regional anesthesia and pain management. It provides prolonged anesthesia by blocking nerve impulses in specific areas of the body. The addition of epinephrine, a vasoconstrictor, enhances the anesthetic's duration by reducing systemic absorption and maintaining local drug concentrations.

This formulation contains bupivacaine hydrochloride at a concentration of 0.25%, combined with epinephrine 1:200,000, in a preservative-free, multiple-dose vial (MDV) of 50 mL. The presence of epinephrine reduces the risk of systemic toxicity by limiting the anesthetic's dispersion into the bloodstream while also minimizing bleeding in the surgical area due to vasoconstriction.

Sensorcaine-MPF is commonly used in procedures requiring extended pain relief, such as epidural, peripheral nerve blocks, and infiltration anesthesia.
