Aquacel Ag Advantage Advanced Antimicrobial Dressing with Hydrofiber, 0.39" x 18" is a primary dressing designed for chronic and acute wounds that are infected or at risk of infection. Its construction supports management of varying exudate levels while promoting a moist wound environment conducive to optimal healing. The dressing is particularly suitable for wounds requiring antimicrobial protection and advanced fluid management.

The dressing incorporates Hydrofiber technology, which absorbs wound exudate and transforms it into a soft gel. This gel formation maintains moisture balance at the wound surface, reduces pain during dressing changes, and supports the natural healing process. The Hydrofiber layer conforms closely to the wound bed, reducing dead space and minimizing areas where bacteria may proliferate.

Aquacel Ag Advantage contains antimicrobial silver combined with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt (EDTA) and benzethonium chloride (BEC), enhancing the efficacy of the silver. This combination locks in exudate and bacteria, reducing the risk of maceration, cross-infection, and other complications associated with wound management.
